At 2E Reclamation Solutions, our aim is to make the flooring recycling process as simple and cost effective as possible. The following 6 easy steps are how homeowners, business owners, and property managers can recycle their old carpet, underpad, and flooring materials:

Step 1: Contact one of our affiliated Flooring Dealer Partners who offer carpet reclamation through our services. To see a list of retail flooring dealers who offer flooring reclamation visit our Where to Go page.

Step 2: You receive a detailed quotation from one of our Flooring Dealer Partners, that includes reclamation and recycling for all of the products we accept. To see the list of products we can keep from landfill go to our Products page.

Step 3: Your carpet and other flooring materials are placed in a 2E Reclamation Solutions Green Reclamation Container at the flooring dealer’s location.

Step 4: All of the material in the Green Container is transported back to our 2E Reclamation Solutions Sorting Facility, where the carpet and other materials are sorted according to fiber and backing and then baled.

Step 5: Based on various factors, the carpet and other flooring materials are then transported from our reclamation facility to a number of different recyclers within our recycling network. Recycling processes include a closed-loop, where old carpet is recycled into new carpet, and different processes that use the material in the manufacturing of playground equipment and car parts. To learn more about the recycling process and the benefits of recycling, go to our Why Recycle page.

Step 6: You feel great about making a difference in the environment. To see what impact recycling your carpet has, check out our Carpet Recycling Calculator.
