Carpet and flooring material reclamation contributes to LEED credits that go toward certification directly and indirectly in two areas. Firstly, carpet reclamation helps projects qualify for credits under the “Construction Waste Management” section that requires 50% or 75% of construction waste be diverted from landfills. Secondly, flooring reclamation contributes to LEED credits under the “Post-Consumer Recycled Content” section by providing the sources of post-consumer material necessary to manufacture new recycled content carpet needed on future LEED projects.

2E Reclamation Solutions provides a Certificate of Reclamation with an accurate weight of how much carpet and flooring material was diverted from landfill, which is necessary documentation on all LEED Certified projects.
